3 idiots - Must Watch

If you are a movie lover and an Indian, then go and watch it. the best movie of this year ..No doubt. Aamir Khan once again proved that he is the best in Bollywood. Whatever Aamir wants you to do, you will. He will make you laugh (most of the time), dance, cry, think and sometimes love his romance. Madhavan and sharman joshi really competed against Aamir with their performance.

I think, Aamir took some 4 categories of students .. took some samples from them, studied their genes and reproduced them perfectly. He concentrated on everything about these categories of students.. clothes they wear , hair style , attitude, nature , their frds..etc.. Brilliant!!

Every one will experience the college environment in those 2 and half yrs. Its a great experience altogether. Some phrases which are still running in my ears even after 5 hrs..'All is well' ,'Don't chase success, chase excellence'. About a gadha ( Bride groom) -' bladdy- he will do Engineering and after that an MBA, then he will work in a Bank at US. what a stupid logic '. ' if you are always worried about future, where is the time to focus on today'. ' bindi 1 kg - Rs 12' ,many more like this.....also, there are quite a lot of scenes which are hilarious..esp the "Teacher's Day speech by a South Indian " and " 3 idiots entering an unknown marriage"

Story revolves between ...3 students and their families dream about their career, one college director and his beautiful daughter, and a south Indian chomu.

As usual the hero is a cool guy. no body can do ragging( he escapes cleverly), he asks good sensible questions to professors, the director of the college gets pissed of with him but at the same time he falls in love with his daughter, he is also the topper of the batch. ..huh..done.

2nd frd , a confused Eng. Student (Madhavan ) struggles inbetween his interests in Photography and his father's dream of making his son a Engineer. 3rd frd, a poor guy(sharman) with lot of family obligations (like 80's unemployed graduate ) struggles for every thing in college because of not having self belief. The Diro, he has irrelevant rules, inhuman in his approach hates all these 3.

The daughter, who is supposed to marry a US return. South Indian Chomu, he always wants to be 1st, can do anything for marks and releases silencers.

very simple - the hero will help all 5 of them.....

Costumes and Appearance......Aamir with the help of a huge belly from Madhavan relatively looks young. He reduced his weight (from Ghajini). Kareena had her worst makeup in last 5 years in this movie (some remedy was done in the songs) . Even when she was 12 Kgs heavier in Don she was looking good. Very recent Kurbaan - she was awesome.

Delhi, IIM - Bangalore , Simla, manali , Ladakh ....you will travel a lot in this movie.

How screwed is our expectations from Students ... same old concept shown with the help of Chetan Bhagat's 5. some one. Some scenes makes us remember Munnabhai MBBS (Raj Kumar Hirani's earlier work ) and Taare Zameen Par.

Kurbaan review

Its really a good movie when compared to the movies coming nowadays. An intense love story and a thriller. One more good thing is ...the intensity of love extends upto Kareena exposing too much

The movie is shot in the post 9/11 scenario, an beautifully portarys the life of an Muslim fundamentalists and typical identity of a Muslim.

Saif Ali Khan, who is a terrorist mastermind takes the help of an Indian girl (Kareena) to enter into USA for a major terrorist attack. When Kareena understands all these, she is helpless and under house arrest. Inbetween Vivek Oberoi who lost his GF in one of the terror plots comes to her help. In the climax Vivek Oberoi makes sure the damage caused by their master plan is minimal.

The screenplay was excellent , except the initial part of 2nd half. The performance of the actors esp. Saif Ali Khan , Kareena was too good. The movie is different in many ways , its not an usual terrorist plot and getting away with it. The love element plays an important role throughout the movie. An hungry for revenge was always in the eyes of Ompuri and Kiron Kher. I personally liked the role of Kiron Kher who desperately needs revenge for all anti Muslim activities. In climax , the movie gets into an real intense struggle between many kinds of people whose priorities vary from love, revenge , Religion, Duty .

Now we come to some stupid things happened in the movie... Vivek Oberoi who knows every thing about the terrorists and their locations reveal those things only b4 15 min of the attack to FBI ...he was waiting to know everything about the terrorists, their bosses , their super bosses , plans , future plans, many more..Even when he got a chance to talk to FBI one day b4 the attack, he postpones it to 9 AM the next day..because the attack is at 10 AM..brilliant.

Another .... FBI has Saif Ali Khan's photograph and needs him disparately but he roams in the streets and Universities freely.These things are in all movies ,so its ok....

Peraanmai - Review

Peraanmai is a good idea -( dono copied or own) but a not a good execution..

Ravi really did a lot of home work for this movie I think... his shape tells him as a Army person.. good improvement in acting too..still Ravi is ravi .The 2nd half of the movie is really different when compared to the movies which are releasing nowadays...infact,we should appreciate these kind of attempts..

Ravi with the help of 5 School girls coming for Camp in a Forest Military Academy averts a master plan by a Foreign Agency ...1st half will be of no use to any one in this country .. such a boring stuff...

One bus full of girls reach the campus ..ok... now Ravi is a strict officer ..he can not tolerate even a little misbehavior ..said. But after that point those 5 girls(later his companions) torture him to heights.. but our hero now is not strict... he was asked to be very strict only in the 1st scene. 1st half fully the things happen to pass the 45 min and ultimately those 5 girls who are his big time enemies are choosen by Ravi to go for Forest Training.. Some body explain me if u understood this scene...

The action starts after they find a Foreigner in the forest .. Ravi who knows every thing from Forest routes , ultra modern Equipments , and forest military processes execute the mission with the help of those girls... Atleast I enjoyed the 2nd half. Some acedemic part which involves Tribal people's suffering are of little use... Ravi himself a tribal guy is a big time victim of Casteism ..this comes very often in the movie..

Varumaiyin Neram Sigappu

This time about an Classic by kamal... varumaiyin Neram Sigappu

Intense Dialogues and Kamal's delivery of those dialogues are really unique in some ways...

Another important impact this movie would make on you is about Bharathiar..Atleast 15 Bharathiar songs used ...

k. Balachander the director didn't care about the screen play but want to tell many messages in one movie... NO typical KB types love and affairs..

This movie is totally outdated for today's scenario....but this explained about the unemployment situation which was there in late 80's ..but bit over exaggerated....Kamal the only son of famous Musician decides his own path and lands in Delhi...he faces lot of difficulties in getting a job because of his idealogies... Story is very simple , in a way it is not logical and irrelevant... but the movie is to be watched only for the dialogue and how a man with lot of values will struggle in life sri devi his GF in Delhi comes as a typical herione of those days ..... Special mention to the comedy of SV Sekar and Pratap....Watch out for one kitchen comedy u will love it... Pratap really did an excellent job...

watch it when u are free.. I recommend to watch it when u are really free, else its not worth...Have a nice week end

Eenadu review

Again i have started this Bullshit ...

This time its about the Telugu and Tamil remake of The Wednesday..but no match for actual one, since I could not watch the tamil version, one of you people can tell about 'Unnakul Oruvan '..... Here is a common man who threatens the City Commisioner having planted 6 bombs in and around Hyd. The movie surrounds how he tries to acheive his objective ... very fast moving and intense movie... really Great watching it..

Kamal's winning strategy is atlast discovered " Remake "... also in the whole Movie artists only Kamal has matched the performance of the original movie's Character.. Arif (Muslim Police) also done very well.... some realistic, recent, and regional stuff added ..thats ok.. Good 'under construction building' near to Hussain Sagar.

I think now should come to bladdy 'venkatesh' and some funny things ..every time to discuss someting he some how starts walking from the same place( shd be a fixed camera) and his walking style is so pathetic for an IPS officer.... at the end when he is going to meet Kamal, 3 -4 scenes were there reaffirming that he is having a gun...'yaaar' we know an IPS officer will have Gun..come on............Lakshmi the 'Chief Secretary' was very busy always in cleaning the Mobile phone...shd have given her some more job..... Gowtham(family police ), my boy " you should have seen the original one atleast once and you could have done some 200% better "

..screen play missed many important aspects which were told in the Hindi version ' idiot'....

Hope Mohan lal would have done better in Tamil...

Nadodigal Review

After I stared writing some crap about the Tamil Movies this is the 1st movie worth writing because its worth seeing....Frankly apart from all aspects of this movie I feel the best part will be its budget and collection... not even a single known face except the Kanja Karupu...

Samudirakani who got his name from Subramaniapuram has given again one of the few good movies of this year... he took a concept ( helping friend's love ) and showed its two sides... and really he showed some reality behind love marriages which none of our tamil movies has shown...

but...aana naa overa solla porathu illa... in some scenes I really felt this guy can turn into a present day TRuuu with same Thaadi, shouting dialogues and msgs...music is really pathetic with 'Sambo siva sambo.... "coming in every scene of 2nd half... listen carefully here.. there will be one stupid female (herione) trying to imitate Jothika and miserably fails...but her sentiment scene were good..

I will leave the story line for you .... the story runs very fast in the 1st half and nice comedy...but in the 2nd half it starts slow and the story unfolds ( some sentiments ) in a nice way to a good climax...

minuses : music, no special attention to fight or dance or romance,

Sarvam Review

he movie starts with " Everything comes in this picture is imagination "-- then comes " until you experience it "...and after that in a graveyard build up starts....The buildup was too much that we expect a 9/11 like strategy by that Villain....

Ok.. a new try we can appreciate it....the movie will atleast keep you engaged. I felt Arya became a much matured actor after his experience with Bala... the movie is about a normal man who turns into a villain because of his death of wife and Son ...Arya is a again a situational saviour....

Trisha has become fat guys.. but still she look good.. with different dressings.....

Plus... Concept and Arya

Minus...very slow and less intensity build around climax

Muthirai Review

Yesterday I watched this useless movie...As ususal I forwarded the songs, so dono abt the songs..

The movie starts with a discussion between 3 politicians who needs CM chair after their party's victory in Assembly.... one is killed and another in Coma... there after the so called suspense starts...Inbetween one Village level theif meets with a city level thief ...as usual in their 1st meet they become frds... How these two thiefs come inbetween the suspense story of political murder is the plot..... I assure climax and climax dialogues are funny..watch with frds

two actress were asked to wear minimum in songs and manchari is the only relief for the movie... the new hero Daniel is undoubtly the biggest disadadvantage for the movie.....

I could not forget this seriuos dialogue in climax by one Honest and big policemen ....." these thiefs loot 50 cr for their hunger .."watch it...

Next review will be about Nadodigal or Sarvam or Kulir

10. Ramanaa -  Vijayakanth's best work and one of best from Murugadas. I was thinking about this movie or Indian (Kamal's) but this movie I preferred because of the less number of romantic distractions we have in Ramanaa when compared to Indian. Though Indian have number of All time favourite scenes , really gets affected by unwanted Manisha Koirala and Urmila. I found Ramanaa more realistic than Indian

11. Baasha  -  Is there anyone in Tamil Nadu who dont know this movie ? I doubt !! Best Rajni movie for most of his fans.  Even if you have watched it 50 times you can still watch it again. No words to describe this movie. Even for Villain Raghuvaren , this was one his best.

Some how personally i felt Pitha Magan had a better cast and performances when compared to Sethu. Pitha Magan received a dozen awards nationally and regionally. I could easily related this movie to atleast 10 of friends who were cheated exactly in the same way as shown in the way.. except for the climax the movie gives you a differnet experience with great comedy. Above all " Great one liners" - Best is " If you want to cheat someone dont expect Mercy, utilise his greediness"

29 Kalakalappu " THE GREAT COMEDY":  A Must must must must watch Comedy movie.. Towards the end of the movie when we have Santhanam coming into action with Shiva.. either you will be rolling on the floor or you will have stomach ache. If you ask any aged person in Tamil Nadu to mention, some good Devotional movies and you would hear Thiruvilayadal for sure.
But its not for old people, even I liked this movie every much. The dialogues, songs and small stories inside the big story all these aspects are good. Song: "Paattum Naane Bhavamum naane " was a super duper those days

Also, thought of having one devotional movie and this is the best so far in Tamil cinema.

What a brave attempt at that point ..1. A thriller which was new for Tamil Cinema 2. Worth spending 140 minutes in this movie which didnt had a single song.. during that time every Tamil cinema had a minimum of 8 songs 3. Nice plot to start a thriller and movie goes through different version. Last 30 minutes conversations can easily be related to some of present issues.

One of the best Classics of Tamil Movies. Best sarcastic dialogues of those days. You will even laugh loud during some of the sarcastic comments Relevance was set for the year 1954, that before 60 years but some of the dialogues have relevance even today. 

Must watch if you like movies talking about Social issues.
