Kurbaan review

Its really a good movie when compared to the movies coming nowadays. An intense love story and a thriller. One more good thing is ...the intensity of love extends upto Kareena exposing too much

The movie is shot in the post 9/11 scenario, an beautifully portarys the life of an Muslim fundamentalists and typical identity of a Muslim.

Saif Ali Khan, who is a terrorist mastermind takes the help of an Indian girl (Kareena) to enter into USA for a major terrorist attack. When Kareena understands all these, she is helpless and under house arrest. Inbetween Vivek Oberoi who lost his GF in one of the terror plots comes to her help. In the climax Vivek Oberoi makes sure the damage caused by their master plan is minimal.

The screenplay was excellent , except the initial part of 2nd half. The performance of the actors esp. Saif Ali Khan , Kareena was too good. The movie is different in many ways , its not an usual terrorist plot and getting away with it. The love element plays an important role throughout the movie. An hungry for revenge was always in the eyes of Ompuri and Kiron Kher. I personally liked the role of Kiron Kher who desperately needs revenge for all anti Muslim activities. In climax , the movie gets into an real intense struggle between many kinds of people whose priorities vary from love, revenge , Religion, Duty .

Now we come to some stupid things happened in the movie... Vivek Oberoi who knows every thing about the terrorists and their locations reveal those things only b4 15 min of the attack to FBI ...he was waiting to know everything about the terrorists, their bosses , their super bosses , plans , future plans, many more..Even when he got a chance to talk to FBI one day b4 the attack, he postpones it to 9 AM the next day..because the attack is at 10 AM..brilliant.

Another .... FBI has Saif Ali Khan's photograph and needs him disparately but he roams in the streets and Universities freely.These things are in all movies ,so its ok....

Peraanmai - Review

Peraanmai is a good idea -( dono copied or own) but a not a good execution..

Ravi really did a lot of home work for this movie I think... his shape tells him as a Army person.. good improvement in acting too..still Ravi is ravi .The 2nd half of the movie is really different when compared to the movies which are releasing nowadays...infact,we should appreciate these kind of attempts..

Ravi with the help of 5 School girls coming for Camp in a Forest Military Academy averts a master plan by a Foreign Agency ...1st half will be of no use to any one in this country .. such a boring stuff...

One bus full of girls reach the campus ..ok... now Ravi is a strict officer ..he can not tolerate even a little misbehavior ..said. But after that point those 5 girls(later his companions) torture him to heights.. but our hero now is not strict... he was asked to be very strict only in the 1st scene. 1st half fully the things happen to pass the 45 min and ultimately those 5 girls who are his big time enemies are choosen by Ravi to go for Forest Training.. Some body explain me if u understood this scene...

The action starts after they find a Foreigner in the forest .. Ravi who knows every thing from Forest routes , ultra modern Equipments , and forest military processes execute the mission with the help of those girls... Atleast I enjoyed the 2nd half. Some acedemic part which involves Tribal people's suffering are of little use... Ravi himself a tribal guy is a big time victim of Casteism ..this comes very often in the movie..

Intense Dialogues and Kamal's delivery of those dialogues are really unique in some ways...

Another important impact this movie would make on you is about Bharathiar..Atleast 15 Bharathiar songs used ...

k. Balachander the director didn't care about the screen play but want to tell many messages in one movie... NO typical KB types love and affairs..

This movie is totally outdated for today's scenario....but this explained about the unemployment situation which was there in late 80's ..but bit over exaggerated....Kamal the only son of famous Musician decides his own path and lands in Delhi...he faces lot of difficulties in getting a job because of his idealogies... Story is very simple , in a way it is not logical and irrelevant... but the movie is to be watched only for the dialogue and how a man with lot of values will struggle in life sri devi his GF in Delhi comes as a typical herione of those days ..... Special mention to the comedy of SV Sekar and Pratap....Watch out for one kitchen comedy u will love it... Pratap really did an excellent job...

watch it when u are free.. I recommend to watch it when u are really free, else its not worth...Have a nice week end
