Manmadhan Ambu_ Wonderful Comedy

Since I do not have any work and sitting idle in Trichy I went to today's 1st show at 10:30 a.m (Fan club Show). I could see some rare things happening today at the first show a) Ladies coming to Fan Club Show b) Cauvery Theatre is not full even for the 1stshow of a Kamal movie. But the atmosphere was exciting and with full of Crackers, Banners and Liquor.

The movie as expected was an wonderful Comedy Movie! I would say another Panchathanthiram kind of a comedy shooted at Europe ( Amesterdam, Venice, Paris) and in a Cruise Ship. Madhavan and Kamal, who do not need much efforts to create such a comedy movie done this very well. Sangeetha and Trisha tried their best and Sangeetha had lot of succes.

Madhavan (Madhana Gopal), an industralist and son of an Orthodox Parents and Trisha (Ambu, actress) were in love. Because of Madhavan's doubts on Trisha's character they both agree to wait for few years before their marriage. Kamal, ( Major. Mannar) was an detective agent appointed by Madhavan to give certificate on Trisha's character during her trip to Europe with Sangeetha (Deepa) and her two kids. Kamal also has an ailing friend and he needs lot of money to take care of his Cancer.

Having this as the starting stage and comedy as the only expected result the movie makes you laugh all the time. Some serious hospital scenes are also there but you can easily ignore them

The complete screenplay was based on her Europe trip and all the twists and turns starts and ends there. Madhavan has done a great job in creating some hilarious comedies. Malayam coming into Tamil conversations always makes good comedy and Kamal has used it to his best.
Trisha looks great and Kamal with tummy and over weight could not pair well with her.

Madhavan's bath room comedy...dont miss it !!

Plus : Madhavan's role, Locations like Amsterdam, Malaya comedy
Minus : Another movie in the list of Panchathanthiram or PKS or Mumbai Express and not much difference.

Rating : 2.5 out of 5

Could be a disappointment for Town and Village Kamal Fans.

Ratha Charithram ( Tamil)

I have seen the Hindi version of Raktht Charidra 1 and liked it except the back ground voice of that old Monk. Now, I went to see the second part in Hyderabad in Tamil.

Not so much violence as in the 1st part but the story had pace in the second part. The revenge of Surya for the killing of his family and Pratab Ravi ignorance towards the act. Good screenplay and Camera effects. Most of scenes comes in slow motion and it means there should be flawless performance and execution.

Lets Come to Story : Surya attempts to kill Pratap Ravi and he escapes. From there the story starst and how a normal man in Jail takes on the ruling Minister and biggest Gunda of the state is the story. Surya completely overtakes the attention from Vivek Oberoi by his Charisma and acting. Priya Mani also comes here and there to support Surya. Nice true story.

Positives : Surya, Camera effects
Minus : Gautam Menon's voice ( I hate his voice. He thinks he has the one among the 10 best voices in the world)

Rating : 3 out of 5

BAVA (Telugu )_ Movie Review_1 out of 5

without reading any review, we just started to go to this movie having lot of faith in Siddarth. He used to select subject's which are not usual. But this time he will make us disappointed. His earlier movie Striker is bit better than this.

Very usual Village love story with an adjoining family feud and Village rivalry. These two familes dont like each other and these two village people cannot imagine getting married. 90's tamil story written again in Telugu. The climax this time is not action and a race between hero and villain. This race would be an ultimate comedy to watch....

Plus : Heroin, 1st half comedy
Minus : Siddarth's belly, old story line and that idotic cycle race
Rating : 1 out of 5

Tribute to Ram Gopal Verma

For last 3 weeks I have been watching many RGV films and thought writing something about his films.
Raktha Charitam, Jungle, Ek Hasina Thi, Kaun and Vaastu saastra are the movies which I watched recently. Earlier I have seen Sarkar Raj.
Really I got impressed wth all of the movies except Vaastu Saastra ( few may like it).

Raktha Sharitra : Good screenplay and action. You expect the movie to be violent and it will be. Vivek Oberoi was shown in good way which you might not have seen before. Real story of Rayalaseema Polictics makes the things very easy for the director. Ended in the right way for creating the anxiety to watch the other part coming soon...(Surya ). 3 out of 5

Jungle : Veerapan's story shown in an excellent realistic way.. Great movie. For some of the Tamilians this could be a news. Please do watch this movie. The love story coming beside was also shown with the right dose. Must Watch !! 3 out of 5

Ek Hasina Thi : Beautiful revenge by an innocent girl betrayed by his boyfriend. Worth watching instead of going to theatre and watching some unknown movie. 2.5 out of 5

Kaun : Something different and short. He had shown that not only Hollywood can take this kind of movies. Good twists and again must watch !! 2.5 out of 5.

Vastu Saastra : Horror movie with lot of difference. Really scary in some scenes. The movie will end with out creating a subject. I didnt like the way it got ended. Few said it was good. 2 out of 5
